Background

Terra is a real estate holding company launched to develop and launch residential and office spaces. The promoters of the company have historically been involved in land banking and with the launch of Terra are moving up the value chain with project concept design and delivery.

Challenge

Terra needed a brand name, logo design and corporate identity kit in order to register and start its business. It wanted to ensure that the look and feel of the brand was superior to that of the majority of existing players in the market place at the time of its inception.

Action

We created the name Terra which means ‘land; earth’ in latin. This was a direct allusion to the historical heritage of the firm and its backers in the land banking space, albeit under a different avatar. We then worked to create a brandmark which signifies the solidity of the organization, using green and brown as its primary colours to illicit an earthy feel. We finalized project delivery with the creation of a corporate identity kit consisting of business cards, letterheads and envelopes.

Result

The name and identity created the desired effect by offering the organization a unique identity within which to operate.
